Taylor Swift Cancels Vienna Shows following Reports of Terror Threat

Taylor Swift’s concerts for the ‘Eras Tour’ in Vienna have been cancelled because of a terrorist threat. The singer was set to perform at Ernst Happel Stadium on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. However, the shows were cancelled after two men were arrested for allegedly planning attacks on the venues. Government officials confirmed the threat, and ticket refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

On Wednesday, police arrested a 19-year-old who had sworn loyalty to the Islamic State and had chemical materials. The investigation indicates that the suspects were influenced by online content. Taylor Swift has voiced worries about fan safety, referencing the Manchester Arena bombing and the Las Vegas shooting in 2017.

The cancellation focuses on keeping the 3 million fans who are expected to come to the concerts safe over the next seven months.
