Controversial media figure Daniel Regha has sparked a debate by criticizing Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, over his recent N1 billion church donation. Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, had generated significant buzz after announcing his substantial donation to a church he visited on Sunday.
In response, Daniel Regha expressed his concerns, arguing that while charitable contributions are commendable, donating such a large amount in a country grappling with starvation and widespread hardship seems misplaced. He proposed that the funds could have been more effectively used to create job opportunities.
Regha commented, “Giving to the church is fine, but donating over a billion to any church, in a country where millions are starving and struggling to survive, doesn’t seem right. Davido’s dad should’ve used about 80% of that money to create employment opportunities.”
