Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, widely known as Blaqbonez, has revealed plans to retire from music within the next three to five years.

During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the “Louer” hitmaker shared his thoughts on stepping away from his music career, emphasizing his desire to leave behind a lasting legacy and secure his future.

“I will keep doing my music to the point where I know that I’ve saved up something that would last me for a lifetime; enough legacies. And I project I will be done in the next three to five years,” he stated.

Discussing his post-retirement plans, Blaqbonez hinted at staying within the entertainment industry in a different capacity.

“I will find another job in the entertainment industry. I would probably work as a consultant to a record label,” he added.

In a heartfelt interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the “Back in Uni” hitmaker shared that his father left shortly after he was born, leaving him to grow up without paternal guidance.

Reflecting on this challenging experience, Blaqbonez explained how it shaped his perspective and resilience.

“My dad kind of dipped when I was born, so he wasn’t there. I wasn’t raised by my dad,” he revealed during the interview.
