Arsenal have now confirmed the permanent signing of the shot-stopper David Raya from Brentford following what has been categorised as the best debut season for a goalkeeper at the club.

David Raya, who was on loan to Arsenal for the 2023/2024 season had picked up the Premier League Golden Glove award for the 2023/2024 season following his 16 clean sheets in the league that season. He joined Arsenal on a season-long loan in August 2023 and quickly became Mikel Arteta’s first choice in goal, surpassing Aaron Ramsdale.
