Road pop ruler, Small Doctor was relied upon to be among the chosen people at the as of late held
AFRIMA 2017 Awards, particularly for his economically effective melody titled “Punishment.” However,
the vocalist was not named and it started a noteworthy discussion among fans.
The artist has now turned out to address the issue in his current meeting with Showtime, where he said
that being assigned or not at the honors isn’t a major ordeal as long as he is as yet making waves as an artist.
“To be designated and to be acknowledged are two unique things; for my photo to be on the flags and
to have been welcomed for the honors is sufficient, on the grounds that I value all of my life. A fall never holds me down, however this isn’t a fall; anything goes, designated or not named I’m balling”, he gloated.
Notwithstanding that, Small Doctor said that he just needs to work harder while watching out for the prize.
“Don’t get it twisted, I don’t mean that being nominated and winning awards doesn’t translate to an achievement; but I won’t kill myself because they refused to nominate me. I just have to work harder while keeping my eye on the prize. There are songs that don’t get nominations but they shut down the show when they are performed at awards; and you will be wondering if the organisers were blind during nominations. Well, I can’t judge them and they can’t judge me as well”,
