Burna Boy’s Youngest Sister Nissi – Criminal
Tailing her energizing presentation, with a month ago’s politically charged single ‘Focus’, which was bolstered by a few driving African online and radio tastemakers, London-based Nigerian performer and painter Nissi, who is likewise Burna Boy’s most youthful sister, comes back with a fresh out of the box new single titled “Criminal” – the second track from her approaching introduction EP Downtown, which is booked to be discharged in October.
New single “Criminal” sees Nissi working together with maker Cornel Sorian at the end of the day, to convey an energizing Jazz-tinged Funk/R&B offering, supported by lavish low register guitar game plans and great horn areas, over which Nissi sings wonderfully about “needing to be a criminal this evening”, and the – once in a while neglectful – lengths we regularly go, for individuals and things that we are pulled in to.
As per Nissi, the motivation for “Criminal” originated from “having discussions with my companions, about how, despite the fact that they were seeing someone, they have met other individuals they simply needed to converse with. Fascination is unquestionably one experience we have all experienced. This tune catches that sentiment needing something or somebody that can make you carry out a little wrongdoing, just to get your direction”.
